In August of 2016, Marvin and Kaylee met for the first time. Kaylee had just graduated from high school in May and Marvin had just left the United States Air Force and began working at Cal Crush where he worked for Brian, Kaylee's dad. Marvin came to dinner at Kaylee's parents house one night and brought over fancy, expensive steaks. Much to Marvin's surprise, Kaylee wasn't impressed. Marvin was taken aback and began hassling Kaylee about steak, which annoyed Kaylee to no end. Marvin liked Kaylee instantly, despite being told by Brian to stay away from her, but Kaylee had a boyfriend. So they became friends for the next four years.

Marvin became close with Brian and Kaylee's brother, Kody. Marvin sponsored Kody's racing career and they traveled everywhere. As a result, Marvin and Kaylee spent a lot of time together. Nearly every weekend they were at the race track together, Marvin was at Kaylee's house, or they would be on roadtrips to different race tracks across the country.

Then in March 2020, Marvin flipped his truck while following Brian, Kody, and Kaylee out to a track. That moment made Kaylee realize she had feelings for Marvin. The following weekend, they all went out to the same track. As luck would have it, once they arrived, Kaylee got into the passenger seat of an RZR to go for a ride. The RZR flipped and Kaylee was stuck hanging upside down by the seatbelt. Seeing all the other passengers pop up but not Kaylee made Marvin realize he still had feelings for her. They tried (unsuccessfully) to ignore the fact that they had crushes on one another for months. Then on July 11, 2020, Marvin and Kaylee had a conversation and decided to become a couple. They went on a lot of adventures from there...

Marvin took Kaylee to Idaho, Montana, and Washington over the course of five days to meet his family and friends. It was 2 degrees in Montana. 2!!!

Las Vegas for a one year anniversary trip. It was 115 degrees.

In December 2022, Kaylee graduated with her J.D. Marvin spent the next two months going through endless flashcards with Kaylee to help her prep for the bar exam.

Then Kaylee adopted Harper, leading to Marvin's love of little dogs.

Which led to another dog ....

... and another dog.

Then on November 30, 2024, Marvin asked Kaylee to marry him at Universal Studios in front of the Grinch. How the Grinch Stole Christmas is Kaylee's favorite Christmas movie and Christmas is Kaylee's favorite holiday.
